Welcome to Piedras Biodiversity Station

PBS is a newly opened research station run by an English Biologist and a Peruvian naturalist set in the Amazon rainforest of South East Peru.

The center is located in the heart of 5,000 hectares of primary rainforest designated as a private reserve zone, see Map. We offer research opportunities to graduates, PhD students, expedition groups and amateur naturalists, and volunteer opportunities to anyone with an interest in helping our resident scientists.

Although our priority is research, tours to the Station and camping expeditions throughout the region are also offered.  If you have any enquiries please Contact Us or go to Reservations if you would like to make a booking.
